H.E Chhay Rithi Sen led a professional officer to inspect the condition of 7 rural roads in Kampong Cham province.

Kampong Cham Province: On Wednesday afternoon, January 21, 2026, H.E. Chhay Rithisen, Minister of Rural Development, together with senior ministry leadership, led technical officials from the Ministry and the Kampong Cham Provincial Department of Rural Development to inspect the condition of 7 rural roads in Kampong Cham Province, as follows:

Road No. 1: Phaav – Doun Dom, DBST road, total length 11.30 km, width 8 m, connecting from Phaav Village, Phaav Commune, Batheay District to Doun Dom Village, Phdav Chum Commune, Cheung Prey District, with an estimated total of 6,400 beneficiaries. This road is part of the Rural Roads Improvement Project Phase III (RRIP-III), financed by the Royal Government of Cambodia in cooperation with ADB loan financing in 2022.

Road No. 2: Sandaek – Sampong Chey, DBST road, length 23.15 km, width 7 m, connecting from Sandaek Village, Sandaek Commune, Batheay District to Sampong Chey Village, Sampong Chey Commune, Cheung Prey District, with an estimated total of 6,800 beneficiaries. This road is also part of RRIP-III project.

Road No. 3: Wat Kambob Gate (NR6) – Soursaen – Trapaing Tnaot, DBST road, total length 10.01 km, width 6 m, connecting from National Road 6 in Soursaen Commune, Prey Chhor District. This road was constructed by the Ministry of Rural Development under the Cambodia Agricultural Sector Diversification Project (CASDP), financed by the Royal Government of Cambodia in cooperation with the World Bank (WB).

Road No. 4: National Road 7 – Siem Baoy, DBST and concrete road, total length 6.00 km, width 6 m, connecting from National Road 7 at Prey Char Village to Siem Baoy Village, Prey Char Commune, Cheung Prey District, with 8,076 direct beneficiaries and 4,025 indirect beneficiaries.

Road No. 5: National Road 7 – S’ang, DBST and concrete road, total length 16.40 km, width 6 m, connecting from National Road 7 at Trapeang Tmat Village, Sramar Commune to Chhuk Sar Village, Sampong Chey Commune, Cheung Prey District, with 38,472 direct beneficiaries and 5,890 indirect beneficiaries.

Road No. 6: National Road 7 – Wat Champusoupha Gate, DBST and concrete road, total length 17.11 km, width 8 m, connecting from National Road 7 at Srang Ae Village, Srang Ae Commune to Tuol Kpos Village, Kroch Commune, Prey Chhor District, with 29,283 direct beneficiaries and 8,257 indirect beneficiaries.

Road No. 7: Sampong Chey – Tuk Char, DBST and concrete road, total length 8.53 km, width 8 m, connecting from National Road 7 at Sampong Chey Village, Sap Por Chey Commune, Cheung Prey District to Thma Da Village, Boeng Nay Commune, Prey Chhor District, with 20,860 direct beneficiaries and 6,733 indirect beneficiaries.

The above 4 road sections were constructed by the Ministry of Rural Development in 2024 under the Road Connectivity Improvement Project (RCIP), financed by the Royal Government of Cambodia in cooperation with the World Bank.
