មហាអំណាចចិន ចង់ឃើញប្រទេសថៃ និងកម្ពុជា ឈានដល់ការបញ្ចប់សង្គ្រាមជាមួយគ្នា និងស្តារឡើងវិញនូវចំណងមិត្តភាពរវាងប្រទេសទាំងពីរ

ចិន÷លោក វ៉ាង យី (Wang Yi) រដ្ឋមន្ត្រីការបរទេសចិន បានថ្លែងថា ​«ក្នុងនាមជាអ្នកជិតខាងដ៏ល្អ និងជាមិត្តរបស់ប្រទេសទាំងពីរ ប្រទេសចិនមិនចង់ឃើញប្រទេសថៃ និងកម្ពុជាឈានដល់ការបញ្ចប់សង្គ្រាមជាមួយគ្នា ហើយអ្វីដែលចិនរំពឹងចង់ឃើញបំផុត គឺការស្ដារឡើងវិញនូវចំណងមិត្តភាពរវាងប្រទេសទាំងពីរ។ វិធីសាស្ត្ររបស់ចិនក្នុងការជំរុញឱ្យមានការចរចាសន្តិភាព គឺមិនដែលធ្វើការបង្ខិតបង្ខំ ឬលូកដៃចូលកិច្ចការផ្ទៃក្នុងឡើយ។ ផ្ទុយទៅវិញ វាត្រូវបានរៀបចំឡើងដើម្បីផ្ដល់ជាវេទិកាមួយសម្រាប់ការពិភាក្សាដោយភាពធូរស្រាល ដែលអនុញ្ញាតឱ្យភាគីពាក់ព័ន្ធអាចធ្វើការផ្លាស់ប្តូរមតិគ្នាយ៉ាងស៊ីជម្រៅ ដើម្បីដោះស្រាយភាពខុសគ្នាទាំងឡាយតាមរយៈការចរចា។

ខ្ញុំជឿជាក់ថា ដរាបណាប្រទេសថៃ និងកម្ពុជាធ្វើការទំនាក់ទំនងគ្នាដោយឈរលើមូលដ្ឋានសមភាព និងបោះជំហានទៅមុខជាមួយគ្នា នោះនឹងគ្មានឧបសគ្គណាដែលមិនអាចជម្នះបានឡើយ។ ប្រទេសចិននឹងបន្តគាំទ្រអាស៊ានឱ្យដើរតួនាទីយ៉ាងសំខាន់ ហើយចិនមានឆន្ទៈក្នុងការផ្តល់ជំនួយដល់បេសកកម្មសង្កេតការណ៍របស់អាស៊ាន ក្នុងការត្រួតពិនិត្យបទឈប់បាញ់។ ប្រទេសចិននឹងបន្តខិតខំប្រឹងប្រែងដើម្បីកសាងសន្តិភាពឡើងវិញរវាងថៃ និងកម្ពុជា ហើយត្រៀមខ្លួនជាស្រេចក្នុងការផ្តល់ជំនួយមនុស្សធម៌ដល់ប្រជាជនដែលខ្វះខាតនៅក្នុងប្រទេសទាំងពីរ។»

As a friendly neighbor of both countries, China wants least to see Thailand and Cambodia come to war and hopes most to see the two countries restore their friendship. The Chinese way to promote peace talks is never imposing or meddling. Instead, it is designed to provide a platform for relaxed dialogue that allows the parties involved to engage in in-depth exchanges to resolve differences through talks.

It is believed that as long as Thailand and Cambodia communicate on an equal footing and move forward together, there will be no insurmountable obstacles. China will continue to support ASEAN in playing its due role, and is willing to provide assistance to the ASEAN observation mission in monitoring the ceasefire. China will continue to make efforts to rebuild peace between Thailand and Cambodia, and is willing to offer humanitarian assistance to people in need in both countries.
